IBTE Digital Marketing Finals!

Imamull with IBTE Business Campus students

A Showcase of Creativity and Fresh Ideas

Last November, IBTE students from BBM 11 to 14 at the Business and Sultan Bolkiah campuses wrapped up their Digital Marketing module with final presentations.

It was an exciting end to a semester guided by Imamull Qhaeer, Co-founder and CEO of AICREATIVV, who taught them all about marketing strategies, user personas, social media, ethics and content creation.

For their big task, students were asked to tackle this scenario:

Scenario:

After a successful pilot programme, IBTE is expanding its Digital Marketing course but is struggling to attract more students. They’re looking for creative agencies to come up with a strategy focused on Instagram and TikTok to boost enrolment from one to four classes.

Right now, IBTE’s social media mostly shares informational posts for current students, alumni, high school grads and parents. To mix things up and drive engagement, they want to bring in students, alumni and lecturers as part of their campaigns.

Presentation Goals:

  • Pinpoint the challenges

  • Understand their target audiences (user personas)

  • Suggest creative solutions

  • Tie strategies to personas

  • Show off a mood board

  • Wrap it up with actionable ideas

Day 1: IBTE Business Campus

The first round kicked off at the Business Campus, with 18 groups (101 students in total) presenting.

Judges included Imamull, along with AICREATIVV team members Iman Shamsudin and Stephanie Yong, while Hafiz Sulaiman kept time.

As the first group hit the stage, the room was buzzing with excitement. Everyone was curious to see the unique ideas their classmates had come up with.

Sure, there were some jitters—stage fright is real!—but every group gave it their all and brought solid ideas to the table.

Day 2: IBTE Sultan Bolkiah Campus

The next day, six groups from the Sultan Bolkiah Campus presented their ideas. Judges included Programme Leader, Digital Marketing Eddie Chu, Imamull and AICREATIVV’s Stephanie Yong and Rafidah Hamit, with Hafiz Sulaiman back as timekeeper.

The judges were impressed by the creativity and effort these students poured into their work. Overall, the students understood their assignments well especially when it came to social media marketing and content creation.

What’s Next?

Imamull will be handpicking a few standout students to intern at AICREATIVV next year—an amazing opportunity to gain real-world experience.

Huge congrats to all the students for their hard work and creative energy! Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours! 🎉
