A new intern has joined the team! Let us welcome Rusydinul Aiman Ramlee, one of five students from the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) to join us from February to July this year. Quiet and observant, Aiman hopes to discover where he can contribute his skills and strengths, starting off with client acquisition strategies.

Hello, Aiman!

Aiman has spent much of his education studying the foundations of the business world. He graduated from high school taking Business subjects during his O’Levels and A’Levels, and continued to test the waters of the business world by working part-time as a sales representative, where he learned to communicate with customers as part of maintaining good customer service. Experiences such as these taught him to keep a positive outlook on life, viewing situations as neither a success or failure, but simply a learning experience, regardless of the outcome. He shares an insightful anecdote that exemplifies this way of thinking:

“If it’s raining, there’s no point in complaining so much about it. There’s nothing you can do - just get an umbrella.”

Familiar and comfortable, Aiman decided to dive deeper into the industry by enrolling in an HNTec in Business Management at IBTE. Now in his internship, he’s taking his business skills to the next level, by stepping out of foundational theory and into real-world situations. From shadowing the business team members Elroy Ramantan and Imamull Qhaeer during a few client meetings and events, Aiman has shown good observational skills and a keen eye for detail, traits that are invaluable when it comes to developing relationships with clients and customers. He hopes to build on these skills and learn new ones along the way so that he’s better equipped to excel in any career in the future.

We asked Aiman what he looks forward to during his time here at AICREATIVV.

“I want to have as much firsthand experience in the workplace.”

Although Aiman is studying Business Management at IBTE, where he learned the systems and processes that are often involved in running a business, he also understands that relying on theory can be a limitation. Some business practices cannot be taught in the classroom, and instead, have to be learned through real-world observations and applications. Aiman wishes to use this internship to understand the working industry and to have a deeper look into the internal processes that keep a business running. By being directly involved and experiencing things hands-on, he hopes that this gives him a deeper understanding and appreciation for the world of business.

“I’m looking forward to learning new things that I wouldn’t be able to learn in school.”

In a similar vein, Aiman also hopes that interning at AICREATIVV opens the doors to discovering more skills that were not possible to learn in the classroom. At AICREATIVV, we believe that learning goes hand in hand with growth - if you stop learning, you stop growing. And we encourage our interns to take an active approach to learning too, by expressing their interests, no matter how simple; asking questions, no matter how straightforward; and participating in the day-to-day occurrences within the company, no matter how small. Only by actively involving yourself will you make the most out of your internship experience.

“I’m not sure where my strengths are yet, so I hope by the end of this internship I figure out what I’m good at and what skills I need to sharpen.”

While Aiman is still discovering his passion in life, we believe that he has large potential for a promising future. We see the foundation of skills that he could develop into a useful arsenal, a keen drive to learn and expand his knowledge, and a mindset unyielding against negativity. As he continues his internship here at AICREATIVV, we hope that we can help him find an industry that he thrives in, where he can use his skills to his fullest potential. May Aiman’s journey towards self-discovery and growth be a fulfilling and enlightening one!

Let’s make the magic happen together!
