Two years after our launch, we reflect on old memories and create new ones at the USC open house in May of 2023.
The Entrepreneurship Village at Universiti Brunei Darussalam Startup Centre (USC) held an open house on May 17th this year, in celebration of both Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the passion projects developed by UBD’s incubation students. AICREATIVV’s invitation was received with open hands, and members of our business development team, Amaru Jumat, Farhan Jafar Ali, and Elroy Ramantan, had the honour of representing our company and sharing our vision.
A Whirlwind of Inspiration
USC is all about nurturing aspiring startups and providing them with a platform that fosters innovation and creativity to fulfill their entrepreneurial dreams, and this event was the perfect stage to celebrate and showcase the incubation students’ bright ideas. Aptly named “Beraya Ke Kampong Keusahawanan”, we stepped into the venue charged with excitement and festivity, as graduating students, university alumni, and esteemed guests interwove and mingled, creating connections and discussions about the projects on display. Amidst the cacophony of conversation and laughter, we couldn’t resist indulging in the array of foods spread out before us, from mouth-watering mains to delicate desserts. Between the party games, a karaoke box, and an adorable Raya-themed photo booth, time passed by with much to do and see.
While we relished the joyful atmosphere, we also graciously accepted the invitation to showcase our growth as proud alumni of the USC programme. We owe the success of AICREATIVV to the unwavering support and guidance provided by USC throughout our entrepreneurial journey, and with the recent expansion and addition of new members to the company, this event became an opportune moment for us to highlight our progress and demonstrate our revitalised ambitions for embracing new opportunities.
To truly make our mark, our creative designer, Iman, went the extra mile to produce a stand-up banner, acting as an AICREATIVV beacon for the event and for countless more in the future. Our banner stood tall and proud, sparking intrigue and striking conversations with students and industry titans, including representatives of renowned companies such as Seria Energy Lab, Serikandi, and LiveWIRE.
With three members of the team and a red beacon to represent our multidisciplinary creative design agency, we are filled with an immense sense of pride at how far we’ve come, and anticipation for the extraordinary future ahead of us. Far from the end of the journey, there is still a lot to learn, and we applaud the team for putting themselves out there in pursuit of both company and internal growth.
Our assistant manager, Amaru, shares her thoughts:
“This was our first time attending this sort of event, so it still feels like foreign territory. We’re glad we got to network and make connections, and we’ve learned new things that we can carry forward to the next event.”
From Humble Roots to Soaring Heights
The USC Open House exceeded our expectations in every way, and served as both a reminder of our foundations and as a catalyst to propel us into a brighter future. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to USC for their ongoing support - for believing in us when we first embarked on our entrepreneurial journey, and for continuing to believe in us as we seize new opportunities for growth and success. With every step we take, we will carry with us the wisdom and teachings that our USC mentors instilled in us, so we can shape a future where creativity knows no bounds, where imagination knows no limits, and where we can make the magic happen together.
